Roy's Waikoloa Bar and Grill is a five minute walk away at the King's Shops.  Great food and service at a reasonable price.   Order the chocolate souffle or fruit crisp when your entree arrives (20 minutes to cook). Tel. 808-885-4321.

Waikoloa Beach Grill - next door in the Beach Golf Course clubhouse.  Pretty good at a reasonable price.  tel. 808-885-6131.

Donatoni's - Italian food across the street at the Waikoloa Hilton.  Excellent (Kevin should know, he lived in Italy for two years). tel. 808-885-1234.

Imari - also across at the Hilton.  You feel like you are in Japan (priced like it too), but very good. tel. 808-885-1234.

Palm Terrace - also at the Hilton.  Buffet, call to find out what night is Polynesian.  As good food as you will find at any luau, even have luau pig. tel. 808-885-1234.

Grand Palace Chinese - in the King's Shops. Great chinese food, reasonable price. tel. 808-885-6668.

Luau - we recommend the luau just a five minute walk away at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott (formerly called the Outrigger.)  Great food and pretty good entertainment.  (We were disappointed with the more famous Kona Village luau, also great food but not worth the price show).

KAILUA-KONA

We love the Big Island Grill.  Best local food (along with Don's in Hilo) on the island.  Huge portions of great food.  75-5702 Kuakini Hwy, tel. (808) 326-1153.

HILO

Our favorite is Don's Grill, tied as the best local food on the island, 485 Hinano St., tel. (808) 935-9099.  Don't be put off by its industrial park location, great food.

HAWI - North part of Island

One of the best restaurants on the island is the Bamboo Restaurant about a 45 minute drive north from the condo.  Well worth the drive, especially on Friday and Saturday nights when they have live music.  Great food, absolutely delightful local ambience.  The real Hawai'i, tel. 808-889-5555.
